About Indigo Cafe & Bar.
Indigo Cafe & Bar is located in the heart of the Wanganui CBD. Opposite the iconic Sargeant Art Gallery and the Memorial building.
The restaurant combines multiple levels, sidewalk, enclosed outdoor and atrium dining areas. The cosy lower levels is ideal for intimate dining, while the larger upper floor offers ideal space for larger groups and corporate functions. Our image gallery has some great shots. Indigo Café and Bar is an ideal function venue available for bookings. Seating up to 130 indoors and 70 outdoors.
The Atrium brings the view and natural light inside without the problems of harsh weather and the bar and lounge provides a relaxed pre or post dining area.
About the Owners.
Indigo cafe is proudly owned by Karen & Rob Sewell. Karen heads a qualified team of professional chefs and Rob manages the front of house staff. Both combine to bring you the dining experience that has made Indigo Cafe & Bar an award winner and a local favorite.
Great Menus & Environment.
The Indigo chefs are dedicated to provide an exciting menu each time it is changed, which is on a regular basis. Using only the freshest seasonal ingredients, there definitely is always something to tantilise everyone's taste buds on the extensive menu.
Our lounge area is on the upper level. The fireplace surrounded by leather couches is a great place to relax and unwind after work. Especially on a winter's day. Our Friday happy hour is a social hit. It attracts many a thirsty central city worker eager to unwind in the best spot on a Friday evening.
